Creamy Gravy (Vegan, Oil Free, and Gluten Free)

Creamy Gravy

  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour (or GF flour)
  • 1/2 cup raw cashews
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped mild green chiles (Optional, but highly recommended!)
  1. Combine all ingredients (except chiles, if using) in a blender and blend until smooth.

  2. Pour into a large saucepan (add chiles, if using) and whisk over medium heat until thick and bubbly.
